The Orange County Comptroller's Official Records Department records, creates an index, and archives all of the documents that constitute the Official Records of Orange County. These documents include, but are not limited to: Deeds, Mortgages, Satisfactions, Claims of Lien, Final Judgments and Orders, Notices of Commencement, and Declarations of Domicile.
At the present time, document images are viewable on this web site, when not prohibited by law, from January 1, 1970, to the present. Index data is complete back to August 1955. Some data and images from 1843 - 8/1955 are also viewable. To see document images from 8/1955 to 1/1/1970, you will need to visit the Official Records Research Center located at 109 E. Church St. Suite 300 in downtown Orlando.
In addition to recording these legal documents, the Orange County Comptroller’s Official Records Department collects money for documentary stamp taxes, intangible taxes, recording fees, and other miscellaneous fees. Tax deed auctions are also performed by this department.
